Both the new milagro, and the flower project are coming along well. The flower petals are getting backed in detached buttonhole stitch, before I add a buttonhole border. (possibly with lace picots).
I'm filling the milagro with white random stitches. (sometimes called drunken filling) I think it gives a texture and variegated sheen that suits the piece nicely.
Today will be a focus on Or Nuè.

Hi folks! I know, long time no post. I've been working like mad, and the blogger app wasn't working right.
Anyways, I'll be trying to post when I start the coffee brewing.
This beastie is going to be part of a much larger flower. I'll keep posting as I go along.
Well, I've finished the main petals, or at least their fronts (still need to embroider the backs) and I'm experimenting with some drawn-thread petals, to see if they'll work. I need to see one finished, to be sure.

Well, there was a glorious full moon last night. Really beautiful. Tonight is supposed to be really good as well, so go out & take a look.
Today is a solid stitching day. I'd like to have this piece done for the new year (and spend New Year's day cleaning up the studio, to start the year with a clean slate)
