Daily sketch

Turns out this paper is terrible for calligraphy. There are fixes, like gum sanderac, burnishing, and, possibly, ironing. 

(I didn't post yesterday's as I think I'm the only person that could make sense of it) 

Back to the large projects.

Hi folks! I am now working on a very large project. I'm stitching on a shirt and I am doing the text of Beowulf on it. So far, it's coming along very nicely, and stitching over paint has been interesting. More later.

Text art 1 is done!

The first, of twelve, pieces of text/calligraphy art, is done! It took about 100 hours and is currently at Rowland's getting mounted, matted, and shrink wrapped. (I'll get it framed later, once I find out if I successfully get juried for the League of NH Craftsmen, in calligraphy) This week, I'll be finishing up some embroidery pieces, and get those out as well.
(for those that are curious about the text, it's the Psalms, in Latin, chapters 1-56)

internet is still a bit wonky,

but this weekend, I finished another illumination for the East Kingdom in the SCA and here are the pictures if I can upload them. I've spent most of the last three days in the studio, because it's air conditioned here. That's the reason for the wonky internet, we're on a wi-fi system, and sometimes it's good, sometimes, well, ...not so much.
